RWSP WATER SUPPLY PROJECT IN BHALUBANG

GWS RWSP recently completed a drinking water supply project in Bhalubang, Lalmatiya V.D.C.- 3 of Dang District in Mid- West Nepal. The project concept is to extract water by drilling vertical bore-hole in Bhawar zone. The drilling was successful and underground water source was found at 12 metre depth. This underground water is lifted by electric pump to two reservoir tanks with a combined capacity of 38,000 litre and distributed to 171 households through 141 metered house connections. The project started on 15 Nov 08 and was completed on 21 Jan 09 with active support from the local community. A total of 935 villagers, a school, a community forest offi ce and a sub-health post are directly benefi ted from this project.
